Cell therapy is a relatively new field that is supposed to lead regenerative medicine in the 21st century. Especially reprogramming and stem cell biology is the hottest issue in this field. International Conference on Cell Therapy 2015, the 9th in the series that has been held annually since 2007, is the premier meeting for the basic researchers and clinicians in the fields of tissue engineering and regenerative medicine and will bring together leading clinicians, researchers and technologists from all over the world.

In this conference, we will provide special plenary lectures by four world class leaders in the field of cell therapy research such as Prof. Giulio Cossu from University of Manchester, UK, Prof. Timothy J. Kieffer from The University of British Columbia, Canada, Prof. Ken Shortman from The Walter and Eliza Hall Institute, Australia, Prof. Michele Teng from QIMR Berghofer Medical Research Institute, Australia, Prof. Masaki Ieda from Keio University School of Medicine, Japan.

In addition, this conference is intended to provide not only opportunities to exchange the updated knowledge and opinions about development of cell therapy but also in depth discussions through international and domestic outstanding 12 lecturers under the different three themes of 'Reprogramming and Stem Cell Therapy', 'Cancer Immune Cell Therapy' and 'Cell Therapy for Diabetes'.

I wish this meeting will be an excellent opportunity to exchange scientific ideas on current and emerging discoveries and share research findings through active participation and discussions.

I sincerely hope that this conference will be productive for the establishment of new collaborations among scientists and develop a new vision for the future of the cell therapy.
